Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

For me, Definately no interest whatsoever.

For a number of reasons too.

#1. I'm scared Sh1tless of doing it. Im 9 weeks and we haven't done it since TTC

#2. I am always so Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

#3. If I end up seeing blood I will have a heart attack.

I feel terrible because my DH has been so good & understands my frustration, but I cant possibly hold out on him for another 7 months. Chat Icon Chat Icon

You're not alone, but I can assure you - you will want to once again - hopefully in the 2nd trimester. I felt the same way you did throughout the first few weeks.

I understand being scared, I was to in the beginning, but if your Dr didn't tell you not to, there's no reason why you can't, you won't hurt the baby. Chat Icon

I actually think sex feels better when I'm pregnant--lol

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

OMG i am SO glad someone else said so! i am the same exact way. i am tired and bloated and just not feelin' it, ya know? poor DH - we haven't done it since TTC either and it's been 4 weeks! i am also just scared, and it doesn't help that i had a check-up yesterday and i spotted a bit after the pap Chat Icon

i keep telling myself i'll do it for DH (b/c he is getting quite frustrated, especially since we were BDing several times a week during TTC) but then i find myself making up yet another excuse Chat Icon

I am embarrassed to admit we haven't had sex. He was scared and now that he is not- I have no interest.

I do have great dreams though Chat Icon Chat Icon and that is enough for me right now.

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

Im definately terrified and holding out untill at least after the first trimester. Im just being very causious and dont want to mess anything up. DH is very understanding i think deep down he is a little scared as well thats why he hasnt even pushed the issue. As long as there is sports on TV im safe just fall asleep early.

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

I'm also very nervous about having sex.. The desire is not there cause fear took over.. I'm paronoid of seeing blood after having relations.. I get so frantic and nervous so I perfer to play it safe. It took us a long time to get to this point so i don't want to take any chances..DH is understanding and I think he worries too so he does not push it on me.... Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

The desire kind of comes in waves. I have a 2 week dry spell followed by the crazy need to attack DH 3 days in a row.

Edited to add: I am 22 weeks - who knows what will happen in the 3rd trimester.

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

Honestly, I hate to scare anyone but I too was afraid for the longest time, but we were VERY careful... at 5 months I thought I was safer and didn't even think twice anymore about it which made it MUCH more enjoyable... then after one session I started SPOTTING! I RAN to the phone and called my OB's office. It was a weekend so I got the doc on call who was great at alleviating my fears. DH was freaking out that he "hurt" the baby/me.

However, although the spotting seemed to go away the next moring, by the next night it was back so I RAN to the OB's office - DH was now in tears. I was on a fetal monitor and had a quick sono. Everything turned out fine, but no action for us for 2 weeks thereafter. The 2 weeks isn't up yet and I think we are both to scared to try again.

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

I am there with you. Between being tired and nervous I just don't have the interest. I had bleeding with my first pregnancy so I am so scared of it again this time. We've done it a couple of times since I found out but not nearly as much as either of us would like. Although he's been hinting a lot lately so I think I'm going to have to make myself get in the moodChat Icon

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

I had no desire during the 1st trimester. During the second trimester, I had much more energy and my desire returned full force. I swear, sex was AWESOME while I was pregnant.

We kept at it right until around 37 weeks when DH could "feel" that my cervix was starting to dilate Chat Icon and was too freaked out to do it anymore.

1st trimester we had sex as we normally did.

2nd trimester it started dwindiling...his doing not mine. I wanted it every second of every day but he's weirded out by it. He doesn't think it's safe.

3rd trimester I can take it or leave it. Not sure if that's because i'm not interested or i'm just used to not getting it.

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

I totally am feeling the same as you ~ but since i had a little blood around the baby my doctor told me my last visit to obstain until my next sonogram... DH is not a happy camper... (we have not done it since TTC either) but my desire has been coming back every now and then... but even if the dr gives the ok i think i might be freaked out ~ If i see blood after i know i will really freak out!

Re: Does anyone have ZERO interest in doing the deed?

I haven't been interested in it for my entire pregnancy so far. I'm at 29 weeks and haven't done it in about 2 months. I feel the furthest thing from sexy right now and doing it just makes me feel weird. I keep my husband satisfied in other ways. Chat Icon
