Do you get added time to the 6 weeks you get paid after you have the baby? I have a feeling in about a month my doc is going to take me out of work so I am just curious about what i would actually get.
Any info would be great thanks

Re: Does anyone know how disability works if you are put on bedrest?
When I was pregnant with DS, I was on bedrest from around 29 weeks until 6 weeks after I delivered. I was able to claim disability from the start of bedrest due to preterm labor until 6 weeks after delivery (vag delivery). HR told me the max I was allowed to claim was 26 weeks (and I was nowhere close to needing 26 weeks off). So I guess the short answer to your question is yes, just check with HR.

Re: Does anyone know how disability works if you are put on bedrest?
Thank you for the info. I asked my boss yesterday and he didnt know he said he would find out. I thought it was up to 26 weeks. I am 28 weeks and was put on bedrest last week for a week bc of pre term labor. My doc told me if I could afford it then he would take me out for the remainder.
is it still the set $170 a week if you dont mind me asking? and is that before or after taxes are taken out?

When I did it last year it was $170/week (before taxes). It dropped to like $156 or so when everything was taken out. HTH!
