Does anyone live in the coop development Deepdale Gardens in LIttle Neck?
DH and I are looking at that development to purchase a coop in. anyone ahve any feedback?

It's supossed to be really nice..the only thing I've ever heard is that the board is REALLY TOUGH. I used to work for a Real estate atty in queens and we had quite a few ppl get rejected.
Are you using a RE Agent? I would ask them about the board. This was a few years ago (ike 3-4) so things may have changed.

we live here and we love it!!!
been here exactly 3 years. the staffs are great and they maintain the place really well.
we went to the interview for the place and we thought it was ok. it wasn't really tough. they basically asked us why we want to live here.
how many bdrms are you looking for? originally we were going to sell the place (we need a house now that we have DS..we have a 2/3bdrms) but i think we're going to wait.

we had looked there a while ago and I think you had to put 25% down,
we also checked out the Beech Hills development which we really liked and I think they required less down

I think you should buy in Parkwood Estates on Little Neck Pkwy near the farm!!! small complex and well maintained!

I live in glen oaks village, but Deepdale is right near it, its a very nice area!!!

deepdale don't have flip tax but i think beech hills do.

thank you everyone for the answers!
we are actually on the phone with the RE agent right now bidding back and forth! i really love this place and love that i found a coop that has a formal dining room. i live in a tiny apt and want to be able to have my family and friends over for dinner and little get-togethers.
my DH had brain cancer a few years ago and we had to wait to get a place of our own, so we are now so excited that everything is falling place, he is healthy and we can get a coop
