We did not tell the boys' names until they were born and plan to do the same this time. It's just easier. I really don't care if people are insulted. I'd rather they be insulted than piss me off by criticizing the names we picked.
Same for us -- plus with DS#2 we actually changed our minds the night before he was born, too!
The only one who is upset about it is MIL but she says she understands...

We aren't telling anyone. I hate how people feel like it's appropriate to tell you they don't like the name you are considering naming your child. Incredibly rude and none of their business!!
So all along we've been telling people we haven't decided yet. Now with a week to go most people don't believe us anymore, so we just tell them it will be a surprise along with the gender and too bad if they are insulted that we won't share.

We didnt with DD and we won't this time around either. It's no one else's business what we name OUR child and I really don't want to hear from the masses what their opinions are. My mom was p!ssed, but I told her too bad!

at 40 weeks we still have not told ANYONE!!! Well, I told the woman that did my EKG 2 weeks ago but shes nobody I am going to see ever again.
People have been pains about it. Its our choice not to tell. We dont want your opinions and we want to keep it a surprise. Theres not surprises anymore!

Besides the fact that DH and I only agreed on names within the last couple weeks, I did not want to tell anyone what names we chose.
I will always remember my SIL saying the names that she liked for my niece and my FIL literally said "Oh no! what do you want to name her that for?"
FYI - the name is Emily and that is what they ended up naming her.
I just did not want to hear comments like that.

I had a dream we told people the names we liked and everyone we told laughed, commented, and hated them.
We are really gonna wait until after the 20 week appt to decide...and I bet even after the 20weeks, nothing will be definite. Lately, I'm not loving anything 100%. But, once we know the sex, we will probably tell people what we might name the baby.
