Re: Does anyone own one of these baby carriers that go in the pool ??
That really scares me for one main reason: In all my years around pools as a swim instructor and lifeguard, many parents accidentally let their child's face underwater unkowingly. I wouldn't be able to go into the pool knowing my child's face was that far under mine.
You spend most of your life making sure that your head stays afloat. It's second nature to go in just far enough that your shoulders are in.

Thanks Kelly ! I was starting to hear crickets chirping
So you think my DD would be too low in a 3.5 -4 foot pool probably ?
Dangit, I just placed an e-bay bid on it ( only $4.00 though)

It really depnds on how comfy you are being in water to only your waist. Every pool has waves that can come up and cover her mouth and nose. And with her facing away from you, you might not know. Is she used to a carrier like that out of the water?
Is it a bad idea to carry her the entire time like that: I think so. But for $4, I think it's worth trying out here and there.

Side note: Is she wearing a bikini under that? Can I order a bikini mom body for $4?

My main reason for trying one, is our trip next month to DR
I will probably be spending a lot of my time at the swim-up bar, in which case I will be mainly above water
She has never been in one of those carriers out of the water ( the one I have is a major PIA)...Oh well, for $4 , if I win, I win...give it a whirl and see if it makes me nervous, and if so I won't use it ...
