Re: Does anyone sub

When I subbed and it was 75ish - only $5 was taken out if I subbed one day...it got a little bit more for each extra day I subbed in the pay period.

When I sub 5 days a week ($100 a day) it's around $430, but I also get money pulled for the retirement system.

make sure you get a retirement number NOW! you pay for the first 10 years of membership - no matter how long you worked during those ten years

If you sub, you can register for the retirement system and beging contributing. Then when you get a full time job you will continue to contribute to the retirement system for 10 years. After ten years you are vested and do not have to contribute any more. It is best to begin contributing as soon as possible. HTH
