Does anyone take spin class while pregnant?

I use to take them and they were such a great work out, I wanted to maybe start taking one once a week but not sure if it is to hard on the body while pregnant or should I just still to walking and jogging? Anyone take spin while pregnant???

Don't know about spinning specifically, but rule of thumb for cardio during pregnancy is that your heart rate can't go above 140. So I would think that as long as you stay below that, spinning should be fine.

I did in the early months 1-4.5 with my DD. I wore a monitor and was just more concious of my efforts. My dr said you can do what you did, exercise wise, before pg.

I'm almost 8 months and still (try) to do the classes at least twice a week. I wear a monitor but really just follow the talk test and listen to my body. I don't follow the 140 bpm rule because for me that's nothing. I usually start to feel winded around 158-160. I prefer to cycle really low and it feels great to have my belly just hanging while my butt and legs do all the work.

I was wondering the same thing. I just found out that I'm pregnant and until now I've done 2 spin classes a week. I've seen other pregnant women in the classes. I think I'll just keep an eye on my heart rate monitor.

I am 24 weeks pregnant and stilll doing spin with no problem.

Hey, the only way I'M spinning during this pregnancy is on the comfy wheelie chair in my classroom. That's IT.
