Does anyone use an ADP Flex Health Savings Account?
I'm leaving my job this Thursday and just found out that I have to use whatever is left in my HSA by then! It's over $800!!!!!
Any recommendations as to what I should do? If I don't use it, it's forfeited.

I have used it for sunglasses in the past - the optician puts down that they are prescription on the receipt You could get a pair for you and your DH with $800 (or as holiday gifts)

OTC drugs (advil, tylenol), sunscreen, condoms, contact lens solution, vitamins... time to stock up!
(This all varies plan by plan but mine allows all of the above)

I purchased $250 worth of contacts and solution today....so I still have about $800 to spend...
I was thinking of hitting up CVA/Duane Reade tonight to buy whatever is an eligible expense...but honestly...what am I going to do with $800 worth of tylenol/antacids/acne medicine, etc????
Can I "buy" the stuff w/my FSA card and then return it for exchange of other items I need or at least store credit?

Nope - whitening is not covered..and I just bought glasses a few months ago!

they won't allow GC's...I tried...I event ried my uncle who's a dentist...and the program doesn't permit it!
I think I'll buy a whole bunch of proactiv online and resell it on ebay!

This is sounding like a brilliant idea. I wonder if there are a few huge ticket items to make this easier <rather than returning 200 bottles of acne cream>. I assume that your FSA card will become invalid... so it's not like they can credit that?
What about pretending you lost the receipt? You might get the "last sale price" but its better than wasting $800!

Yep - on Thrusday the card will no longer work. I'm going to the store and I'll speak with the manager and ask him what I can do! Thanks so much ladies!!!!

Are you on BCP? If so, get enough for the rest of the year.
The stock up on tylenol, cold medicine, HPT's (for when or if you're ready)...all those things can add up.

- Any copays you had to pay (dr's visit, prescrition drugs, etc..)
- vitamins
- OTC drugs (Tylenol, allergie medicine, etc..)
- Prescription sunglasses

Buy a bunch of those first aid/ emergency kits (the expensive ones are over 100) and resell them on ebay or give them out as holiday gifts.
