Does anyone use Oxy Clean Powder in a front-load washer?
Can it be done??? 
The detergent goes in the dispenser in the top of the washer. You can put either liquid or powder. I tried once adding the Oxy Clean powder in with the liquid Dreft, but the powder solidified into a chunk and didn't disolve. It stayed in the dispenser.
Any tips would be appreciated!

Not sure what you mean by front load. I run water and pour in the dreft and then the powder oxy, then i let that mix up a bit, then i add my dd cloths.

we put it directly on top of the clothes in the washer.

I use it in mine, I put it in and while the water is pouring in, I shake the drawer to make sure all the powder goes down the chute.

Do you put regular detergent in the dispenser too? Liquid? Powder?

I use either liquid detergent, or I get these sort of compressed powder capsults (I don't think you get them in the states) They are like giant sweetarts and when you put them in your washing machine drawer they dissolve when the water pours in.

My front load washer has 2 soap dispensers: one for prewash and one for regular wash. I put the powder in the prewash and set the machine to use it and the regular liquid in the regular wash section.

This is what I do and when the water starts flowing through the pre-wash compartment I swish things around.
