Does anyone's child do this?
My son(Ronan) loves to scratch-he does it to his bottles, to us if we are holding him, etc. He basically opens and closes his fist while scratching my arm while I hold him. He does it more when he's tired I think. Last night when I fed him he was going to town scratching his bottle...is this odd or does anyone else have a baby that does this(he is almost 6 mos)

Liliana does this to put herself to sleep, she scratches on her crib sheet. She does it to her bottles too...its cute

 Eva does this all the time to bottles,my arm,face,toys,walls,etc.... it drives me nuts

Yes, my DS does this all the time and at almost 13 months still does.
Really motivates you to cut those little nails of theirs because he's left marks before!!

I have a DH that does this. 
Seriously, he likes to rub things between his fingers, he says it calms him. Maybe it is the same sensation? DH started doing this to my MIL's nightgowns when he was a baby.

My DS doesnt do this, but when he was little he played with his hair a lot. I think its just a self soothing thing he does.

All the time! She does this to a bunch of things, but the funniest is when she does it in her co-sleeper and the room is quiet. FH and I start laughing saying she is trying to scratch her way out.

Awwww Athan does this too - especially with his bottle. I love it. When he was younger and we would rock him to sleep he would do it on my arm too. I miss that

DS scratches at his eyes/eyebrows when he's tired. He grabs at his face and scratches himself.

Jonah does it! He does it to his face and his head. He does it while he is nursing and sometimes while eating a bottle, and always when he is overtired.
Because his skin is so dry and his awful cradle cap he has made himself bleed and he got open sores on his head. Sometimes when he starts while he is eating, I try to make him grab my finger instead.
