Does anyone's Summer Monitor get really hot?
Or is mine just defective? My monitor doesn't hold a charge through the whole night so I end up leaving it plugged in. When I wake up it is sometimes burning hot and the picture has gotten a bit distorted and doesn't return to normal until it cools down. Is this normal?

Re: Does anyone's Summer Monitor get really hot?
My summer monitor gets warm and definitely does not stay charged long unplugged. I have to keep it plugged in most of the time
I would call the company and ask them. I thought about calling the company myself to tell them how I can't keep the monitor unplugged long before the screen turns off. I think it should last a few hours at least.

Mine gets hot if i leave the screen for an extended period. I only turn it on if i'm looking at it ;)
The reason the screen shuts off is to save battery life when it's not plugged in.
Summer has great customer service, so if you aren't happy def call them! They have 1 year warranty on everything.

I leave mine plugged in all night and it may be a little warm but never hot. I would call the company to send you a replacement or get it fixed.

My is always warm - and I keep it plugged in over night also. I like the picture to be on at all times in the middle of the night. When I am up and the monitor is with me I don't keep the picture on bc the battery does drain pretty fast.
So, I think it's normal.

They do that to save the life of the battery.

Re: Does anyone's Summer Monitor get really hot?
I'm glad to hear other people have similar issues with the Summer monitor. My sil has a different monitor and does not have these issues. She has a friend that did not like the Summer monitor.
Diana1215...I know your probably right they do that to save the battery. I really thought if they advertise it being a wireless monitor it should at least stay on a few hours with out being plugged into. I took it into the bathroom once while I showered and the screen was off by the time I was out. It's fustrating!
