Does DH come with you to your RE appointments?

Mine came to the initial consult and to drop of his SA, but he's never gone to another.
I don't reallythink its necesssary for him to be there for sonos and blood, but I was wondering what all the other DH's do.

I did tell him I want him there if we do IUI.

He comes to the appointments that are close to O time, because then he's on to produce for the IUI's, but regular morning monitoring he does not come with me.

he didnt come to all my blood and sonos because I went straight to work from those morning appointments.

He came to my sonos after we found out I was PG.

No, only IUIs. He did not come to the initial consult but he did go to the injectible class, and he came to a consult we had with the RE after my first injectible cycle to discuss options going forward.

If I need to go to monitoring on the weekend in the City he will drive in with me and wait in the car, because there's no parking on the street by the office.

He comes to IUIs and IVF stuff and if I'm meeting with the doctor. Other than that, I go it alone.

DH comes with me to all sonogram appointments that we are able to schedule before 8am. Most of our sonos have been between 7 and 7:30. After that, he will be significantly late for work. If I am to have an IUI on the weekend, he comes with me. If it is during the week, he doesn't come. I do all of the "drop-offs" for IUIs during the week and he does them on the weekends.

For a while, it seemed that each time I got bad news, I was alone. I felt that DH should be a part of the process as much as I am. He is very rational in thought and acts as my ears when I am not able to decipher information given by the doctor in a more detached way.

No he doesn't come.. I wouldn't want him there for all the sono's, IUI's and blood work anyway.. He did go to the IVF consult with me and he will go to the retrieval and transfer but that will be it.

My husband has been with me at every single consult with my RE and ALL of my sonos and bloodwork. Next month when we start the IUI he will be there for sure. And when we finally get pregnant I know he will be at EVERY appt. After going though all of this to have a baby I know he wouldn't want to miss a thing!!

I don't feel its necessary (for me) to have DH there for monitoring appts...it's quicker and easier to go by myself

But, for anything big, he is always there

and of course, if I did want him there for ANYTHING big or small, he'd drop everything in a second to hold my hand

I don't have him come for monitoring and he did not come to my IUI, but it was a piece of cake.

He came with me for the consults and the IUI's. He hasn't been able to come for the monitoring appt's, but thats not a big deal and I usually schedule them for when I am off if I can. Although when I got the bad news about the cyst I wish he had been there My mom is coming with me on Wed., but only because she has to do some shopping up by the office

he's come for injection classes, 1 sono, and egg retrieval. That's it.

So, monitoring, no, big stuff, yes.

He came to the IUI appointments because he had to drop off his 'sample'. He came to the first few appointments too but I didn't see the point in him coming to all my appointments especially since I usually went to RE and then jumped on the train in to NYC for work.

No..only the important meet with the Dr ones, all the iuis, ivf etc, the daily routine ones, he never came too.

sometimes. he's going w/ me tomorrow to find out what's going on w/ me and if i am in fact suffering from OHSS. He came w/ me for the iUI and the few before it that showed my follicles growing. He usually doesn't come for the baseline sonos and the early on ones---

If my DH is off like on a saturday or something he comes and for the retrival and transfer when I did get pg he went to every sono except one

If its during the week no. If its on the weekend yes. First IUI I went it alone as it was on a Monday. This past IUI was on Sunday so he was there I dont really need him there its just nice when he is

No, it's too much time to take out of both our schedules, particularly because he is the primary breadwinner in our family, while my job is much more flexibile with time off.

But, when I was given a diagnosis, I brought Dh in to discuss with the RE, and I brought him to the HSG with me. If I had known the MRI was a contrast with an IV, I would have brought him to that, as well. But for routine ultrasounds and bloodwork, I go by myself.
