does lovenox hurt MORE over time?
i am on day 6 of lovenox and so far it's been a breeze. it burns for a few minutes after but totally tolerable. today though, it seemed harder to put the needle in and it burned like crazy....i feel like maybe my skin is getting tough from all the bruising? it's hard to find somewhere that's not near a bruise.....did anybody else find that the more bruises you have the more it hurts? i keeping telling myself this is for a good cause but this morning was not fun!

Re: does lovenox hurt MORE over time?
this is exactly what happened to me. it was like my pain tolerance was getting worse. the first few days were fine and then by the week mark, it hurt to put the needle in, the bruising was bad and the burning was terrible.
i started icing the area before injecting. and go super slow, the burn won't be as bad. i only stayed on until i was 10 weeks so i can't really say if it got better from there.

That happened to me as well. In the beginning I thought "What's all the drama about? This is nothing".... then once I hit 2 or 3wks I was in serious pain.
I'm still on it and 21wks and it's just as bad but it hasn't gotten any worse, if that's any consolation. Good luck!

for me it depends on the day. Some days it is fine, others it hurts more. Someone had mentioned to me to ice the area first, but I usually forget.

Always stings for me. Some days are worse than others. Some times I bruise some times I don't. Totally depends.

This is me as well. I also don't ice before hand. Personally I don't find the need. It stings...I deal with it.

Re: does lovenox hurt MORE over time?
I was just thinking the same thing. Just when one side starts to heal from a massive bruise I end up with a huge bruise on the other side. This morning I found putting the needle in tougher then usual. It is not fun however if this is what I have to do to stay pregnant Ill do it but Im not liking it!

I think the skin does toughen up. sometimes you might go to stick and it might hurt b/c its all bruised underneath and you have to switch spots.
