I am doing Follistim injections AGAIN...this time for an IVF cycle but for some reason they really hurt this time. Has anyone else had this? Any suggestions?

Re: why does my follistim hurt this time????
I dont know its weird. It doesn't hurt really at the injection site like my skin but more internally. Almost like I can feel where the fluid went. It is very very sore and it is painful for a while. I had to put an ice pack on it the other night to numb it a little just so i could sleep!

Have you increased you dosage a lot since last time you used it? My dosage will be increased from 325 IUs (during my 3rd IUI) to 750 IUs for my IVF cycle I'm really nervous about this now.... I would give your RE a call and find out if this is normal.

Re: why does my follistim hurt this time????
I went up from 100 for my IUI to 200. Just dropped back to 150 after 3 days of stimming but it still hurt with the 150 too. Maybe Im just being a baby but I am a natural worrier so of course when it hurts I have to worry!
