Does today feel weird for you?
No matter what side you're on , do you feel off today? Since last night I've felt I'm in the middle of a dream - things feel strange.
There's just a weird energy and I can't explain it. Anyone else?

Yes, very. I was up all night watching the election results. Then once I slept I was tossing and turning and now today I just have a pit in my stomach. I'm sure it will all pass but today absolutely feels weird for me.

i keep on alternating between crying and railing against trump voters and bernie supporters saying bernie would have won.
i'm sure i'll be off for a while because of this.

Yes.
The subway ride in was eerily quiet. You could hear a pin drop.
During the morning, people at work were stunned. We do Broadway so generally people lean left. Lots of hugs have been happening all day. Tears.
I woke up to the news (went to bed a little after 1)...DH told me. I cried a bit, calmed down, then got so worked up again that I ended up vomiting.
Lots of people seem to be in a state of grief, myself included.
And like I said on my FB page - it's not because I love Hillary Clinton so much. It's because I hate hate so much.

I feel like im floating and disconnected since last week!
I follow a lot of spiritual stuff and this election and all that came with it is part of a bigger phenomena, rising of our consciousness so maybe thats it?
My former FIL passed away so that also has something to do with my feeling this way

Yep. I was stunned last night when I woke up, around 3 a.m. and saw the news. Now, I just feel like America is being pranked. It is a strange feeling.

Completely drained and in a fog. A horrible sick feeling I can't get rid of, my stomach is in knots. It's as if someone just died. So many of us at school today just couldn't believe it and we just shook our heads. It was really eerie to see everyone whispering and huddling into little groups outside the supermarket

I just want to go back to the now that was two days ago, when the NYT predicted a 91% chance of Hillary winning. Let's live in that time.
Not to mention, this election has brought out things in people that surprised me on so many levels. It's a very unsettled feeling for sure.

Yup.
It's like an alternative universe. I see people around acting like it's a regular day but I'm having trouble coping and adjusting. It's not a regular day for me. It's a day of mourning of all the progress that has been made.

Not at all. Maybe because I didn't feel any passion for any of the candidates of this election.
I woke up and went to work as usual. I will leave work and stop at the supermarket on my way as usual. I will make dinner and go about my normal routine as usual.

Yes. I fell asleep but woke up and saw around 4am. I had a massive anxiety attack. I had to tell my son this morning, who cried because he is terrified that his friend will be sent back to his country (his words). And that the White House will be blown up.
I am not ok. But I guess it is the stages of grief for now...

It's business and work as usual in my office. We're all busy and we're all fine. In real life I have not seen one tenth of the drama that I've seen on LIF.
And I'm in MA which is like 99.8273% blue

Yes. I am having trouble concentrating. I have been out and about and forgetting where I was, how to get to certain places I've been 10000x, I forgot how to open my purse and all of my passwords including my iPhone. I remembered after thought for minute but I am disoriented. I think I am in shock.

Yes.
I'm trying to sort out my feelings, and conquer the fear of the next 4 years.
But, I still have to get my work done, run home and visit FIL in the rehab, run to his house and feed his cat, get the mail. Go home, try to eat something, collapse in bed.
Repeat again tomorrow. Life goes on.

Grief describes it perfectly for me. I feel like I'm moving in slow motion and just weighed down.

Yes incredibly. I was so upset and slept maybe two hours last night. I keep crying off and on. Very devastated. I feel like someone died and I'm grieving.

Today has been awful. Firstly I didn't get much sleep last night then I am so upset about the result and when I went to pick my kids up from school I was reluctant to even bring it up as its been such a hush hush election I don't know who voted for who. Although the long face of one of my mom friends gave her away and she opened up to me about how terrible she is feeling to.
I did start a conversation with one mom who is a friend of mine and I suspected she was a trump supporter. She confirmed that she voted for him. I explained how shocked I was and how concerned I was that he has no experience in politics for one thing and she just smiled a fake smile and didn't respond. I find this strange .If the tables were turned and she expressed her concern about hilary as president I would most definitely be able to have had a conversation with her as to why I thought she would do a good job.
Its very strange.
