I went back to work today (worked from home yesterday). I was expecting a bit of criticism, but I didn't get it (I'm sure that will come over the next four years). Instead I got lots of sympathy and hugs. And questions asked to how could so many Americans be that unkind or fall for a man like Trump. They thought Americans were nice people, etc. So many people here are just in shock.
So, yeah, that's what one segment of the world thinks of America. Well done, America, well done .
It doesn't even matter what he does at this point anymore. The tremendous hate that he has managed to unleash mere hours after his victory, the fact that he is ignoring it.... He will go down in history as the subhuman shit stain of America.
What does it say when a country with a marred history of violence, injustice, cruelty, mass genocide, dictatorship, and building a wall of their own has spoken out and called us out on this travesty..... We have lost credibility across the board on the world stage. I don't even know how we begin to repair it.

Yes.
The subway ride in was eerily quiet. You could hear a pin drop.
During the morning, people at work were stunned. We do Broadway so generally people lean left. Lots of hugs have been happening all day. Tears.
I woke up to the news (went to bed a little after 1)...DH told me. I cried a bit, calmed down, then got so worked up again that I ended up vomiting.
Lots of people seem to be in a state of grief, myself included.
And like I said on my FB page - it's not because I love Hillary Clinton so much. It's because I hate hate so much.
This pretty much sums up these past two days for me.

Today was a great day, though unfortunate for secretary Clinton. She certainly gave it her all. However the country has a elected a person that has never had any real experience in politics. This is an incredible historic event that PROVES anyone can work hard and become president of the US. Wow! I'm not going to lie I had a shit eating grin on my face all day. I'm ready to see what the future brings.
Hard work? Yeah he's a real Horacio Alger. Inheriting millions from daddy sure takes a lot of hard work.
He did not inherit millions from daddy. And yes, he has worked very hard.
Maybe not, but he did use his father and his father's businesses as his personal piggy banks. Over the years he borrowed millions from both. He is not the self-made man he wants people to believe. And he did receive, some kind of inheritance in the form of a trust. WSJ article

Wait, so even alone with what he admits-- a $1,000,000 loan from Daddy. You don't label him as privileged??! I do. No body is loaning me or anyone else I know one million dollars.
