Re: Does your DH cook?

yes he does. But we both love to cook, we find it fun and its something we like to do together.
Normally who ever gets home first starts to cook, unless its on the grill, then thats all him lol.

No, but I don't mind because he does pretty much everything else.

He's the primary chef in our house. I couldn't tell you the last time I cooked a meal.

Same here

Same for me too.

Us too. He loves cooking and I enjoy baking so he has taken over the task of dinner each night.

DH enjoys cooking and is good at it but doesn't get to often because he gets home from work too late during the week and on the weekends, we usually go out or oder in--sometimes he will cook instead. If he is on vacation or has a day off from work he will usually cook dinner.

Does your DH cook?

Never. We have been together since 2008 and all I have ever seen him cook is toast.

Re: Does your DH cook?

Once in awhile, but cooking is one of my hobbies so he only does it if I'm sick, really busy, our just don't feel like it.

He's a good cook, I'm just more passionate about it.

Re: Does your DH cook?

My DH is hopeless in the kitchen! He considers heating up leftovers to be cooking! Lol

I don't mind though, I love to cook. He will help me out though - he peels potatoes, chops veggies etc.

Re: Does your DH cook?

Yes! My DH cooks us breakfast every weekend and usually dinner friday/sat/sun (we always go out one or two of those nights but whatever nights we don't he cooks).

I cook during the week bc he gets home later than I do but he loves cooking and is so good at it!

Yes, he's better at it than I am. Before I became SAHM, he was the main cook so it was a major adjustment for us to make the change.

On weekends/holidays, he's in charge of the kitchen.

He doesn't cook gourmet meals, but will cook easy stuff (mostly for himself though). Like pasta and jar sauce. Or orange chicken (the ones they sell at BJ's in the frozen food section) and rice in the rice cooker.

Re: Does your DH cook?

He does. He works about 5 minutes away from home and I commute an hour, so he's always home before me. He cooks dinner many weeknights because of that, especially if he has something to go to later and needs to eat by a certain time. On weekends, we both cook. And some nights during the week I will cook too. But it does end up being more him than me. And I hate to say it, but he's a better cook than me. I prefer baking!

Yes, my DH is a great cook, although I like to cook and typically do most of the cooking.

Yes but he is a perfectionist and is not quick.

Yes...mine will cook. But he has to decide in advance, go to the store, buy everything for that meal, follow a recipe, etc. So I do all the regular cooking and he cooks for special occasions.

Re: Does your DH cook?

Not really, he sometimes will make the salad or put chicken in the oven, boil water for pasta, that kind of thing... If I tell him exactly what to do, he'll attempt it. But I'm not a good cook either so we end up making really basic things.

He makes breakfast often for us on the weekend, and he's starting to get into cooking other things - as long as he has detailed recipe he's awesome. I like to cook so most of the day to day cooking I do, but it's great when he does it also. He makes an awesome sandwich - so I'm a happy girl Chat Icon

Re: Does your DH cook?

DH always makes breakfast. I'm not a breakfast person (I'm notorious for undercooking pancakes and burning french toast).

For dinner I do the majority of the cooking, but DH has no problem stepping in if I'm tired or home late from work. He also does all the grilling in the summertime.
