Does your DH work nights?

If so, how is it going? How does your DC deal with it?
DH is probably heading back to a night position due to daycare issues.
I'm really worried that my 5 year old is going to have a hard time with this. I'm really worried/stressed/tense etc.

My DH doesn't work nights, but he leaves before they wake up and gets home after they go to bed. It's always been that way, so they are used to it. They are all over him on the weekends, he does the majority of the care of them when he's home b/c he misses them and wants to spend as much time as possible with them.

No he works days usually out the door by 8am and home between 5-6pm however he's self employed so sometimes he has to go do an estimate at night but that's only sometimes and only takes about 1hr.

This is my schedule except I'm p/t so its 2x week. DD goes to bed at 8:30 so I only miss 2hrs in the evening. When I get home she's just getting up so I feed her play with her then it's off to bed I go. I don't think she really notices my absence at this age.
