If anything bad happens to my dad, they always keep it from me until it gets better and then they tell me. When my father found out he had cancer, they did not tell me until after he had the surgery to get it removed. When he got hurt at work they did not tell me until after he was home from the hospital getting checked out. I used to get upset when they didn't tell me right away, but I know why they don't and I understand. My father means everything to me (he is my true hero) and I would go crazy if I heard anything bad about him, and it would make my dad upset that I was upset (I am definitely daddy's little girl). So to avoid me getting upset and him feeling bad and getting upset, they don't tell me until after everything is ok. Like I said I used to get upset, but knowing that it helps my dad to not have me upset makes it ok for me.

Yeah, for years my family didn't tell my grandmother that my Aunt (her youngest) has MS. When she had to leave her job and go on permanent disability, they told my grandmother she hurt her back. Once my Aunt starting getting worse, they had to tell her because she could barely walk and it was only a matter of time before her mother would discover something was seriously wrong.

Not much anymore, they used to keep things from me in the past, they didnt' want to upset me, but they tell me now, at least I think they do
