Re: Dog ?? - Boy vs. Girl
Depends on the breed I think, we have always had female dogs, DH and his friends have our PBs siblings (they bought the whole litter) and the females listen and behave where as the males were HARDER to train.

Re: Dog ?? - Boy vs. Girl
I have had both male and female dogs and haven't seen much of difference. I think that personality traits are much more breed specific than gender specific.
I had a male doberman who made me the "alpha" and listened to everything I said and was easily trained by me but not others in my home.
I now have a female weimaraner who has made me the "alpha" but she listens to both me and DH equally. She just seems to like me a little better.
