I try to walk Scout in the street. BUT - there are so many ILLEGAL apratments, there are cars parked on both sides of the street and then drivers come whizzing by -- so sometimes I walk him on the sidewalk. It wouldn't bother me if someone else did the same, no reason to put yourself and your dog at risk of being hit.
But I always clean up after him - and try not to let him go where he shouldn't but hey, when nature calls....

hmm - our neighbors walk their dogs on our lawn and other lawns - same with us when we walk char. it doesn't bother me as long as they clean up after their pup... which they always do. it is kind of hard to avoid it when walking through our neighborhood, in particular, because there are no sidewalks with excess grass - it is only people's lawns so when char has to go - she can't go on pavement - so we just bring along baggies to clean up after her with.
Well there are sidewalks here with excess grass. It's part of being a responsible dog owner IMHO.
It's rude. I would never walk my dog on someone's lawn, I deserve the same in return.
Same here, i never let my fathers dog on the person lawn, only on the strip of grass that is btwn the sidewalk and street. i would have flipped out if some dog was pooing on my lawn.

that's very rude.
i don't have a dog (i have an indoor cat), but i wouldn't let my pet or my child on someone else's lawn.
heck..i walk around barefoot on my lawn all summer long. i don't want to walk on dog pee or poop. yuck.

I told my DH about this. He did lawn work for the first time since we moved in this weekend and told me there were many piles of **** in the front yard. Guess we know who the culprit probably is now. I was telling my mom and she was like "if she does it again call the cops since you warned her once". LOL.
Imagine THAT kind of phone call!
