Dog treats
What dog treats do you give to your dog? I've noticed that the ones we've given Shea might be making him sick so they went in the trash.

Re: Dog treats
We give our guy the Nutro dog treats. He LOVES them!
And Milk Bones, Beggin Strips, those logs of food/treat you can buy in Petsmart/Petco (looks like a big sausage)....
but he also loves apples, bananas, carrots and strawberries!
He's a big fan of treats!

Us too or any other bland cardboard looking type! We also get the tiny sized bones for our *giant* lab just to have more control of how much she's getting.

Re: Dog treats
I usually buy the Iams dog bones and my dogs love them..
This last time I bought Milk Bones and while Chico is fine with them (bc he is a fat B*stard ) they are too hard for Mimi's little teeth and she doesn't really eat them..

What about a meaty treat like puperoni? Shea has a sensitive stomach too and the Kong treats have been good to him. My sister got him a box of milkbones, but it's kept at my parents house. Where do you buy the stuff you get Ollie?

I'd be nervous to try that because even the kong treats have given her diarrhea. We tried milk bones and she wouldn't touch them, she's a snot! The robbie dawg biscuits I can only find online and they're not cheap but they do last a long time. The nutro treats you can find at petco and I think pet smart too. They're usually in the aisle where the nutro dog food is sold.

Re: Dog treats
Snow peas (frozen) Apple slices (frozen) Banana Pumpkin ice cubes Water ice cubes
We do use large Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison treats to put in his Kong. He only gets one of those a day. I will also put all of the above in his Kong with some peanut butter and freeze it.
Brinkley had a bit of a weight issue so we switched to healthier treats. He's got a thing for frozen stuff, I don't know why, but everything lasts longer in the freezer so it's great.
