Does anyone walk their dog anymore, or you just let them out??? LOL A dog needs exercise so I hope everyone is walking them as well!
if a dog has a yard, it probably gets more exercise than if it were out on an average walk

Running in the yard is not the same as walking. Running in a yard still keeps a dog confined within "4 walls" whereas a walk is always going forward into open space. (Ceasar Milan's big on this, dogs walking to release pent up energy/frustration, etc). I am a big believer in a dog needs to walk everyday, esp my dogs. Helps to release pent up energy and release nervousness in them, as well as their owners. Also helps keep the yard poop free!!!
But I think a yard is great for a dog too, combined with a walk. My dogs love both yard play and walking around their neighborhood.

Re: dog waste removal
We have someone come. It is $7 a week because our dog is small.
We use F.P.I.

Re: dog waste removal
We don't use one, but we might have to in the future. We have less time to go outside with the dogs so it will be nice to have someone cleaning up once a week. If you can afford something that will make your life easier, i say go for it.
