Dog with fleas?
I felt a rough spot on my dog's head the other day and look and it was a small grouping of black dots, I thought it was a scab or something but yesterday DH found a similar grouping behind his hear. I've never owned a dog before, is this fleas?
I don't know how he'd get it cause he is never around other dogs and doesn't really go outside much because he's house trained, when he does go outside it's for walks in the street.

If they are fleas you will see them moving and jumping....it's gross.
Do you have your dog on any type of topical like advantix? When my dog had fleas I had to give him capstar(an oral) for 7 days then start the advantix. I haven't had a problem since.

I was going to suggest finding out if that was flea feces you saw (they leave their own tracks behind in that way) but it sounds like you have it figured out. Good luck with the treatment!
