Don't take bad service from vendors!
I had some issues with a stroller i had bought from an online website.
I went back and forth with the manufacturer and it wasnt' good enough, they told me to take it up with the website i purchased it from.
Well the website's customer service was SO bad, they were actually nasty with me while i was being nice and calm, they told me to send an email to the manager who after 2 weeks didn't respond.
So I posted a bad, awful, to the point review about my experience on www.epinions.com and within 24 hours of me posting it, i got a call from the manager, apologizing profusely, asking what she can do for me after she saw my review.
So basically they worked everything out with the manu. i got a credit and they overnighted my new stuff to me and begged me to change my review to reflect the new service they did for me and they even offered me a job!
Holy moly! I did all of this in the most professional way, no yelling, no screaming, no name calling, stern and to the point and not demanding. I was in the retail mgmt business for a long time and i was a property manager so i have a way with words :)
Just speak up on that world wide internet! don't take bad service from anyone. Fight for your money!

I agree - you have to open your mouth!
I just got Peg Perego to send me new seat fabric because mine ripped even though it's only covered for 90 days (it was purchased in January).
I also got Vicks to exchange an open and used Warm Mist Humidifier because I bought the wrong one. Doctor says only to use cool mist. They took back the humidifier with no box and sent me a comparable, new cool mist humidifer!

Good for you!! I noticed the same thing with the manager from that place. I am glad you get credited.
Did you get the same stroller or did you change it?

I got a different stroller. I am so done with this search. I wound up getting the Chicco C5 double. It's an umbrella and it doesn't handle like my babyjogger but Dh likes it, i like, it folds down small and most of all gianna can sit up and people watch in it. I'm done!
I wound up getting a stroller, a britax carseat, a stroller pedometer and a sunshade/bug protector all for the same $$ as the babyjogger.

Excellent job! Calm, cool and collected goes a LONG way to getting what you want. I am a fan of the letter to the company but will be using your epinions idea from now on.
