don't want to be negative..but inlaw vent, hit twice today
So I have a MIL in FL. She has not sent a thing to the baby..not even a card. Instead of a shower gift, she called me to ask for 100.00. no attempt to visit.
2 weekends ago, she went on a long weekend to Miami. that was the baptism weekend.
Phone rings today..can I look online for a plane ticket for her(I think she is coming here) she then goes on..she wants to go to a wedding next week in MA, her nephew's..okay, not to sound petty...you have money for that, but you haven't even sent a congrats card..and you would rather go to a wedding then to see your son's first baby.
And the nerve..you still owe me money!!!
Then FIL calls...thanks for all the pictures..but how come I don't put the baby in the clothes he bought for him? he bought 2 outfits..I put the baby in one and took his pic and sent it to FIL..he doesn't remember..the other outfit he has already grown out of. I wonder when his kids were infants..how many pics his inlaws got from him?
just had to get it out.

I feel awful for your husband. He must be so hurt at his parent's behavior and total disinterest in his child.

my heart breaks for my DH. That's why I am venting here..I don't even want to mention it to him. He gets so embarassed by their behavior. It makes it worse that my mother has already visited twice and calls everyday since she is obsessed.
I really wish we could break free of them.
