Dont you think it would be nice if there was a law passed....
that if you are 7 months preggo or over you get a temporary handicap sticker so you can park close.
Im so preggo I feel as though I have a disability.

they were talking about these spots on the radio this week & ladies were calling in to say they hated these spots & would never park in them  as if they were taking them from handicapped people I would totally use them.

I totally park in stork parking! That's what it's for! Not so much for walk to the store but by the time I'm done walking around the whole store, I can barely make it to my car in stork parking!

True, but when you can hardly walk....like myself working out it out of the question. My whole back, groin area hurts when I walk. I feel like an 80 yo.

True, but when you can hardly walk....like myself working out it out of the question. My whole back, groin area hurts when I walk. I feel like an 80 yo.

Ya know, I went to take my niece out with me one day, we went to the Broadway Mall and I was pleasantly surprised- they had a designated expectant mom spot! I used it but kinda felt guilty, I was only about...uhhh 5 months preggo at the time. I still kinda feel guilty...I know I'm 8 months pregnant but I don't feel THAT disabled yet! Well except when the hips are sore and I'm out of breath...

I don't understand why people on bedrest don't get them automatically.
So, I have to lay in bed 24/7, but when I go to the Dr. I can trek across a parking lot and sit in an office for 2 hours....

i'll be honest...i wouldn't get one even at 9 months pregnant. when i was 7 months pregnant with #1, my feet and ankles were so swollen that it hurt to stand up and people gave me sympathy all day long
but i was pregnant, not disabled. when my feet were really killing me, i didn't go out and sent DH instead. i wouldn't feel right taking the spot from someone who was really physically disabled.

There is a form that your doctor fills out for a temporary sticker. I would just check again for the laws...I got mine in 2006 so it could be different now.

I called my town, and it is still valid. They had a form on their site that I printed out (you can also use the NYS DMV one) and the doctor signs off, then you pick up the temporary pass from the town hall!
