The worse thing ever is when people park like an inch away from your car and you have to squeeze in  !
When I was pregnant I also wished they had those stickers ....I was out of breath before I got into the store

There is a form that your doctor fills out for a temporary sticker. I would just check again for the laws...I got mine in 2006 so it could be different now.
I called my town, and it is still valid. They had a form on their site that I printed out (you can also use the NYS DMV one) and the doctor signs off, then you pick up the temporary pass from the town hall! 
oh good! I am so glad that it worked out!!!
