down comforters
I need to buy a down comforter for my king sized bed and I don't know where to start.
Any recommendations? What should I be looking for???
Post links if you can!
TIA!

Re: down comforters
I LOOOOOOOVE down comforters! That's all I have ever slept with since I was a child.
I use 2 different one's - a lightweight for this time of year and a heavier one for the winter. The one I am using right now is from Macy's (Charter Club) and it's called Princeton. I think it is discontinued but they have something else in that category now. I highly recommend getting one from Macy's. they have a Hotel collection too which is very luxurious. And they’re having an awesome sale now
ETA: here's a good deal
this looks great too!

Re: down comforters
Thanks so much! i'm so clueless with this. I 've always received them as gifts!!!
So - you use the lightweight for the summer and the medium weight for the winter? Is the medium weight heavy enough for the winter, becasue I also see that they sell a heavy weight.
Do you use duvet covers over them? That is what I usually do!

Do you use duvet covers over them? That is what I usually do! the amazing thing about down is that it adjusts to your body temp. I use a heavyweight in the winter and this year I actually used it all the way through May. I was never too hot or too cold, always nice and toasty! Same in the summer with the lightweight one.
I always use duvets. I have a few different duvet covers that I switch out... but my fav is CK Bamboo Flowers. SO worth the extra $$!! high quality like that pays for itself since it will last you forever.

Re: down comforters
you could also get a nice one at BBB or LNT and use a 20% coupon
I always use a duvet cover, but I skip the top sheet. That's what the duvet cover is for.

Thanks, I get so overwhelmed when I get into the store, though. I'm not sure how to find a "quality" comforter!

Re: down comforters
I love down comforters but I'm alergic (break out in rashes) so I we have a regular one.
My sister got her's in target and loves it. I think she paid around $150.
