Dr. Brown's Manual Breast Pump HELP

Hi ladies, we JUST got home from the hospital today, so I'm bound to have a million questions, bear w/ me......

Well, DH just tried to put together the Dr. Brown's manual pump & we think its defective.....

the clear cap that is supposed to seal it keeps popping off after almost every pump....are we doing something wrong?

We haven't used it, but I'm afraid they won't return it b/c the "seal" was broken on the box...

Part II....can anyone recommend a good pump?

I have it. Did you make sure it pops into place?

If you think its defective you can call the company and they'll send you a new piece.

Hi Cin,

You may have to contact the manufacturer directly if the store won't take it back. We are using the Medela Harmony manual pump. Easy to use and we've had no issues. I think it can be converted into an electric one (Medela Symphony?).

I actually had a problem with the Dr Browns which by the way I thought was great and it didn't hurt to pump at all. It died though after the 3rd time I pumped which was a bummer. I brought it back to Babies R us with the receipt and I got the Medela pump. They took it back no problem. Just make sure that the cap is on tight enough.
