Dr. Cohen girls~~~ question ab Level 2 sono.. UPDATE
When did you get your results for the scan?
The scan took a while and at the end I asked if everything was okay and she just said she's not allowed to say anything or give results. I am panicking now bc the last two scans she openly said everything looked good but someone told me the 20 wk scan is more in depth and she may not be able to say anything. Have any of you had similar experiences with Madonna sonographers?
She was measuring "small fluid filled areas" in the kidneys but said it's only bad if they were of a large size and these were tiny.
Baby was so cute today though flexing her legs and wiggling around. I am hoping everything will be okay 
UPDATE-- we have a very HEALTHY little girl on our hands!!! Dr. Cohen said all was perfect with the level 2. So relieved!!!! Next step is glucose test in a few weeks :(

was it the one in the woodbury office? because i found that tech didn't say too much.
the tech in the little neck office seems to be more open IMO.
anyway, i got the results from dr cohen himself at my apt following the scan....i think it was a few days.

No, I only go to the NHP office and there's always the same girl from Madonna that does the scans. Not warm and fuzzy but pretty comprehensive. I guess I'll see what he says tomorrow! Thank God I have my DS's first day of school to distract me.

I have had scans at both offices (and at the Madonna office) and had different people each time. Some of them will say something....anything and some of them are tight lipped.
I always just got results from Cohen himself at my next appt. which was within the week.

I wouldn't read into it. My bf is a sono tech and she and I were discussing this the other day. She really isn't allowed to discuss results good or bad. She says she always feels bad because it sometimes makes parents nervous, but it's the doctors job to review and discuss results. According to her, she could lose her job.

I had a consult with him 2 yrs ago and wasn't sure about him, but he recommend the RE's office he/wife used. Now I need to find a new ob and was thinking of him again.
If its the same dr I remember sitting in the waiting rm for well over an hour??

Was your sono tech, Mara? Short hair? Glasses? She is so not a people person. My first two sonos with her she totally did not give me any info.
For my 35 week, she gave me info...thought things looked OK and that's when the twins' growth discordancy started. Wait til you see Dr Cohen... he gets the results after a high risk Dr at Madonna reviews them. He should have them by tomorrow.

Anyway I was there last nignt and my appt was at 430 and I was out by 5:06.

Just Crashing, but Dr Cohen delivered DS1. Love him!! I always went to Woodbury office too since it was across from my office and convenient. Staff is always amazing and he is one of the coolest, most laid back doctors I've had. When DS1 was due there was an issue and Dr Cohen was awesome, took care of things fast and delivered DS1 at LIJ.
Never been to his other office. I moved a few years ago and thank goodness met a doctor similar to him.

He now has an office in New Hyde Park and I have gone to him since 10weeks. Never had a wait ever, staff is great especially front desk who were very accommodating when I was having a freak out moment. The times I go are either Weds at 7pm or Tuesdays at 10am and again, never had a wait. He's very funny and lighthearted so it counters my panic and seriousness at all appointments . I'm not thrilled that there's a chance he won't deliver me but I kinda knew that going in.

No, no glasses or short hair and she's done my sonos every time I have gone for my Madonna scans. I have seen Dr. Cohen's sonographer (not Madonna) and she's very sweet. I am not sure if I will see her or the Madonna girls for my growth sonos? My DS had IUGR so I'm hoping someone watches me closely!!

dr cohen's girl is vanessa she is the bomb!!! she doesn't do the growth sono though. madonna does.

How often will I get sonos after the level 2?? They told me there's a big one at 32 weeks with madonna again but I'm hoping to be monitored in office just in case. Is this possible?

I didn't get any Sonos in between the level 2 and the growth. At the growth they told me that was my last sono.

That sucks! I really want periodic checks. Maybe I'll talk to him about it next appt. He said bc of my past history with IUGR, he may watch me closer. Is the sono tech there all day?

I'm not sure what her hours Are- but I'm pretty sure if you ask he will let u have one if you are nervous. He is pretty lenient like that.
I'm 35 weeks and may ask for another one in a week or two just to be sure baby is still in position
