Re: Dr. Oz said these are the best tennis/walking/running shoes

My husband has been wearing them for over a year for working out. Yes, they are awesome & really good for you, and yes, they are ugly. There’s tons of studies (who pays for them and WHY??) that show how much better they are for you. I call them 'toe shoes' and he's not allowed to wear them other than for working out in my presence Chat Icon

He's 46 he cares more about his body & joints lasting for years to come than people thinking his shoes are ugly Chat Icon

If they helped my lower back pain, I'd suck it up and wear them for jogging.

But I assume you can't wear socks with them? So don't they get sort of "stinky" very fast without a sock barrier?

YOUR DH IS 46!?!?!? The shoes are working! He should be in charge of pr for that company. I thought he was a lot younger.

So that's what Channing Tatum was wearing in a picture posted last week!

Never saw these before (in person). What makes them the best tennis/walking shoe?

And Kara...I agree with a PP...your husband does NOT look 46!Chat Icon Chat Icon

This must be related to those that feel that running barefoot is the best way to run and exercise for the human body. Since those shoes simulate a barefoot experience it must be similar.

Personally i couldnt imagine slipping my toes into each groove..but if it works for some people that's great!!

The appearance of them does not bother me at all but I would really think they are hard to fit. Whose toes are exactly a standard size?

My co-worker wears them for running. It took him over a month to get used to them. You have to EASE into them as you are more or less re-learning to run. It forces you to run differently, so you should not continue with your regular training. He was running 10-12 mile long runs and started off by running 1 mile or two in them.

They don't look like they would give much support. I wonder why more professional runners don't wear them if they are the bust running shoe.

It looks like a 1 size fit all. So I guess your feet get accustomed to the shoe not the other way around.
