dreading tonights doc appt
Tonight I had a scheduled appt for an ultrasound to see how LO was progressing...now its turned into a follow up after my MC...I am not looking foward to seeing a waiting room full of pregnant woman and I'm afraid I may have an anxiety attack or cry inconsolably...haven't been to work in the last two days...I feel restless and lost

Re: dreading tonights doc appt
I am soooooo sorry!!! I felt like that at my 1st doc appt. after the m/c. I said to my DH while we were in the waiting room that it's so weird-I was there a few weeks ago to confirm the pregnancy and now I'm sitting there not being pregnant anymore. I was only there for between 15 minutes to 1/2 hour. I hope it's a very quick appt for you!!

Re: dreading tonights doc appt
i'm so sorry....not even a week after my d&c i had a doctors appt and i was in the waiting room about 10 minutes and then i just lost it...there were two pregnant women who started talking about feeling kicks and one of them was a teenager which made it even worse...i bursted into tears and ran out of the waiting room...my DH was with me and we waited in the car until they were ready for me...my doctors office was so understanding, i don't think i'm the first person who had that type of reaction....i'm really sorry, its a horrible feelng that i know too well...hopefully you are in and out and its not busy....

Re: dreading tonights doc appt
After my loss, they allowed me to sit in an empty exam room instead of the waiting room with all the other pregnant ladies.

Re: dreading tonights doc appt
It sucks, it really really does. The receptionist even asked me what my appointment was for and I had to say "Miscarriage!"
I will say it gets easier as time goes on

Re: dreading tonights doc appt
I'm sorry I've been thinking of you tonight. I had to go today and sit in the waiting room with four pregnant women. Then, the nurse drawing my blood was pregnant and decided to talk about giving birth--I guess she didn't realize WHY she was drawing blood?!
I sat in my car and cried before heading home. Let's keep saying it and it will be true....It's going to get better, it's going to get better, it's going to get better....

I cried when I turned in the parking lot and again when I saw my doctor but I did feel better when I left the office...my doctor was great and answered all of my questions...the waiting room only had one pregnant woman not the crowd of them I pictured in my head...I have to go back in a few weeks for bloodwork results and I am hoping its easier by then. Thanks for all the support and it will "get easier" and we'll adapt to a new normal
