dream master bath?
We're getting ready to get started on our master bath renovation -- complete gut job. We tentatively have a layout and are about to start making selections. We are also trying to keep resale in mind. Are there any things you love or wish you had in your master bath?
A few things we are trying to decide at the moment are 60 v 66 inch tub (we can do 66 but would have to move the toilet slightly which adds a bit of expense), soaking tub v. jacuzzi (we didnt think we wanted jacuzzi but are now considering it again), etc. Also open to input on color scheme, etc.

i personally would want a soaker tub and not a jacuzzi. my old house had a jacuzzi and i never used it. i turned it on once and black sh1t flew out. its a PITA to keep clean.

Re: dream master bath?
Our master bathroom is tiny, so I really want one floor throughout and into the shower stall, and I want it to be river rock.

Radiant heat in the floor is really nice, if you can do that great. we went with a large soaking tub in the bathroom, Kohler Tea for Two 66" It looks really nice, and is for the few times we use it a year.
20/20 hindsight, I'd enlarge the master shower, add a shower seat, and skip the tub. We like our duel sinks and duel medicine cabinets. Storage is great, we only have a cup dispenser, soap dispenser and toothbrushes on the counter.

Seat in shower Multiple shower heads on wall for massage options. Multiple shower heads so two people can use it at the same time. I am not sure if I want a jacuzzi or a soaker tub. I like the idea of a jacuzzi since it massages. Double sinks. Great storage. Make up vanity with a make up drawer. Separate toilet area. Heated towel rack.

Re: dream master bath?
My master is long and sort of skinny. The things we chose that I love are
two vanities, completely separate but next to each other because I'm an only child & I don't share space well!! LOL
radiant heat in the floor
we had a jacuzzi prior to reno & it was gross but I LOVE a good bath so we went with a Bain Ultra tub with chroma-therapy its an air tub (not jets) with a drying cycle so after I get out it blows air thru to completely dry it so it never gets skanky. We also have a handheld which makes cleaning it simple
medium size shower with nice bench, we have a shower head & handheld with a big shampoo niche
My DH loves having skylight in the bathroom
we have several different kinds of lighting on different switches
We also have a magnifying mirror that is very pretty and matching our faucets mounted on the wall

Re: dream master bath?
Thanks everyone! We have a good space to work with so we are doing double sinks, radiant heat floor, tentatively a 4x5 shower with corner seat, a linen closet within the bathroom, a skylight. Shower will have a shower head and a second removeable one. Your comments are def making me lean back away from a jacuzzi tub again.

Couple pof things I forgot.
BODY SPRAYS- really cool, we have 2 on the front. might be cool to have 1/2 from the other direction
we also did a hanging light over the tub which is nice. Pretty sure per code, you shouldn't, but we think we can handle not grabbing onto it while in the tub.
