Drop In Users - They Now Have 10 Oz Liners

If you mix formula as you go, I know it's a pain when you are trying to do an 8 ounce bottle. I was at Target today and noticed that Playtex now has 10 ounce drop in liners! They expand width wise so they will fit in the 8 ounce holders.

I've seen this too.....wondered who would need 10 ozs of formula, but now that you say that...it makes sense!

Re: Drop In Users - They Now Have 10 Oz Liners

A girl on another forum I am on, accidently bought them. This is what she wrote:
"First, let me start off by saying I didn't even know that I bought "new" ones. I just grabbed them off the shelf as I always do. Upon opening the box and pulling them out I immediately knew that they felt different which prompted me to actually look at the box. LOL They say, "now expands to 10 oz for easier bottle making." To heck with that is what I say. My son doesn't drink 10 oz and now you can't even tell when it's 8 oz full because the bottle expands in the bottom of the bottle. Why do they have to go and mess with a good thing? I just don't get companies sometimes.

So much for that "easier bottle making" theory. I now have to get the measuring cup out and do it that way to ensure they're getting filled to 8 oz.

Ok, that's my rant for the day. Thanks for listening."

Then she called the company and wrote:
"I just called Playtex and told them about my dislike for the new liners. They informed me that there are new bottles on the market from Playtex that says 8 oz on one side and the other size has the markings for the 10 oz liners. So......without me asking she offered to send me a couple of bottles free of charge to try them out to see if it makes it easier for me. I thought this was really nice of them to do. Each of the bottles that I bought were roughly $4.50 and I'm not up for spending another $4.50 - $5.00 for another 8 bottles. Especially when he'll be weaning off the bottle shortly.

Thanks for listening again ladies."

Re: Drop In Users - They Now Have 10 Oz Liners

I've always measured the water anyway because those markings aren't all that accurate once you fill the liner and it expands a tad. Also, when you add the 8 ounces of water, there is no room left for the powder. It's fine if you use RTF or the forumla pitcher. She doesn't really drink 8 ounce bottles..we tried them a few times and it was just too much, but I know a lot of girls have asked how to make them as you go when there is no room left for the powder!
