Drove all the way to Bear Mountain today . . .

Drove all the way to Bear Mountain today . . .
And was told we couldn't come in becuase they were closed!  The teenager who had the exit blocked said they were over capacity and had closed down at 1230pm. Has anyone heard of such a thing? We were none too happy after driving through traffic and 2 hour trip wound up taking 3 1/2 hours.

It's Oktoberfest, they get really busy.

Ohhh, I didn't know they had anything special going on. I just wanted to hike and show 6 month old DD the animals at the zoo. We got a late start and with the traffic we didn't get there till close till 4. I had no idea they would close the park down or I never would have bothered!

the SAME THING happened to us last year! we were so upset that we couldn't get in so we just drove around and looked at the pretty leaves
