What's the best way to treat NB dry scalp?

I didn't do anything special for DS. I just washed his hair with Aveeno like normal but I rubbed his head a little more and used the washcloth. Just don't rub too much!

Vaseline or baby oil. Is there a lot of flaking and scaling? If so, your baby may have cradle cap. Mine got this (still has it) bad. I was told to massage in vaseline or baby oil, let it sit a few minutes, comb out the flakes, then shampoo.
If it's not cradle cap though, frequent shampoo may make it worse, then I would just rinse.
