DS being teased on the bus.
DS is in 1st grade, well behaved and loves school. In K, he took the bus everyday and loved it.
This year, there is another boy on the bus who teases him and other kids chime in. DS has told him to stop but the boy doesn't listen.
I feel terrible for DS. He is NOT a complainer and for him to bring this up to me means that it is truly bothering him.
How do I address this?

DS being teased on the bus.
Find out who at your school handles bus issues. For us it's the assistant principal. Call up and tell them about it and it will be addressed. This is a form of bullying and it is not tolerated.

Agree with this. I would also ask that he be assigned a seat at the front of the bus near the driver. In our district, the bus drivers assign seats at the beginning of the year with the youngest kids starting at the front.

Re: DS being teased on the bus.
what is he being teased about? I'd talk to him first, teach him some coping skills to deal with the jerks on the bus ......
If that doesn't help him, then go to the school

Re: DS being teased on the bus.
This happened to my DS. in kindergarten and this year in second, another child was teasing him and calling him names on the bus. I emailed DS's teacher and spoke to the bus driver and matron, and the situations were addressed. Sorry you are dealing with this.
