DS is 7 months and is only eating on avg 1 jar of food a day
Is that horrible? He hates everything but the jarred cereal and even that lately he is not that great with.

seems like a small amount...but is he talking a decent amount of formula atleast? did you ask your ped. if theres any reason to be concerned?

Yes he gets between 30 -40 ounces a day.

Yes he gets between 30 -40 ounces a day.
Our pediatrician wanted Landon to be eating 3 meals a day at 7 months. but it seems your DS is getting enough "calories" from the formula. I would try to feed him more to get him used to eating solids b/c when you swicth to milk @ 1 year the calories will be much less than formula.

Baby food and cereal are just for practice until they turn 1. They get all their calories and nutrition from formula or BM.

Josh seriously would eat 1 jar of food every 3 DAYS!
now he's a really good eater. Loves veggies, meat, beans...

DD isn't a big eater but is very eager. She's just a little peanut. Her weight is good though. So, I think if his weight is good I wouldn't be too concerned. Have you tried making your own baby food? I make most of DD's food (except things with nitrates in them and green beans) and she eats way more of that than the jarred stuff.

As long as his formula intake is that high I think that it's nothing to worry about except that you want him to eat for practice.
DS has reduced his formula / BM intake from like 35 ounces to 27 ounces, but he eats 3 big meals a day
