DS just became a belly sleeper at 5 months..
He always slept on his back..then at 4 months became a fan of his side..and now he keeps rolling onto his belly. Is this ok? I was always told to never have him sleep on his belly..but i think after a certain point, it should be ok.
He cannot roll from belly to back yet...

Doctor told me to always put them on their back to sleep, but if he rolls over to leave him in the position he rolls to.

Kristina's been sleeping that way for MONTHS now.....
If I put her on her back.... I'm lucky if I can get her to sleep an hour straight.

Re: DS just became a belly sleeper at 5 months..
DS started about that time as well, He always slept on his back before that time.
Before he could roll back to belly, he would cry if he woke up and wanted to move. Now at 7 months he is all over the crib at night.
My though was once they could roll themselves into a position and pull their head up, I dont worry about it.

Yep, this is what happened with my DD. She started first on her side then it became belly. I used to roll her to her back but she kept doing it again. So because she moved herself there and felt comfortable sleeping this way I just let it be.
Hey, even I feel comfy to sleep on my belly. I guess she takes after her mama.
