after the ultra screen do we actually find out the sex of the baby? i thought we had to wait when we were like 20 weeks? BTW my appointment went well- he said everything looks great!!

I didn't find out the sex from ultrascreen. I think its the CVS that they do that. Usually you find out at 20 wks. I am hoping to find out at 16 since I have to have sono's every month because of a fibroid I have. Glad everything went well!

so I had my ultrascreen...honestly my doc never even asked if I wanted it, they just did it...The measurements were really good and the doc said if I don't hear back in a week the blood tests are fine. Also, what is a CVS?
BTW: Could you add me to the list of dates 4/21!

I'm so sorry I missed putting you on the list!!! You were one of the first to reply to this thread, too. Please forgive! 
CVS is another test that is done when your baby is at risk. The ultrascreen gives your OB and you an idea of whether or not you need further testing. i.e. based on my ultrascreen results I don't need amnio or CVS. My RE recommends amnio for all IVF w/ ICSI conceived babies because ICSI increases risk of heart and/or lung abnormalities. However, I have chosen not to have the amnio because I feel that the risk of miscarriage is too high.
What is CVS?

Thank you :o) I am dying for it to be 10/26. I have my next appt and sono. I will be 16 weeks and am really hoping they will tell me the sex. How did you find out so early?

At the ultrascreen the perinatologist just had a clear view he said. It's 95% accurate for girl and 98% accurate for boy at that point. When we saw OB yesterday he said, I don't do it that early (check sex). He will confirm at our next appointment in 3 weeks. That will be 16.5 weeks for us -
I have felt I was carrying a girl since week 1. I had no preference. I just had a really strong girl feeling.
Can't wait to hear what yours is in a few weeks! Do you have a guess?

I'm doing good, last week I had a killer cold and now am at the tail end of it. Can't wait until it's all gone. My appetite has all of a sudden increased.
I'm 14 weeks today. My next appt. is 10/29 but no sono...my next soo will be my level II on 11/30.

Did they say why they're not doing sonos at every appointment?
Yeah, I've been really hungry, too. For things that aren't great - like yesterday I got a bagel with cream cheese and ended up having pizza for dinner. That was not a good day calorie-wise or nutritionally.
How else have you been feeling? Sleeping good?

I am SOOO finding out!! I NEED to know so I can pick out a name, plan and SHOP!! I love buying super cute baby clothes, especially when they are on sale!!
