Obviously I am in the minority here, but I think good for them. They seem to have a very loving, close-knit family, and as long as they are supporting their family and taking care of them, then I see no problem with it. Its not like they are having babies and then neglecting them and not caring for them.
Lets think about this, the "octomom" keeps having babies that she cannot support or care for properly. At least the Duggars are not on welfare, no tax dollars are going to them while they keep having children.

....and this is why I won't watch their show anymore.
they just had a micro-preemie. the child needs care 24/7. she needs to be a mom to this little baby, not have her older daughters take care of her.
she needs to stop, I don't care how much they love their family. I'm sure her doctors must have advised her to stop having children.

I tend to agree with you. They have the means for lots of kids, they live on a budget, they have lots of love for each other. I actually don't think she has a sickness or anything (wanting lots of kids), I think they have a very deep set religious belief that it if it is God's will, they will not fight it and will welcome it with open arms.
I will say that I was hoping they were either done or would abstain for a while considering Josie was a micro preemie, has a lot of health issues, and still needs 24/7 car.
THAT SAID, has this been confirmed. From the previews of the next show, it seemed they were going to announce that someone ELSE is expecting and I thought they would say it was Josh and Anna.

Well I think it's totally reckless and selfish. You could not possibly have time to devote to 20 children! Or even 18 or 19 - I think some might be out of the house. The older kids take care of the younger kids.

IDK how true this article is....The article says that they live in a 2,000 square foot house....it's not 2,000 square feet, it's 7,000. I know maybe that's not significant to the story, but I just don't think this article is real.

I don't care what they do or how they live. Not my business. Not my money. I am not handing money to the government to pay for them. Those kids were all conceived with love and no agenda other than what they perceive as G-d's will. They take care of themselves. No issues there.
HOWEVER after having had my second child just 2 years and 10 days after my first via repeat c-section with a G-d awful recovery, I am wondering how her body can tolerate that at her age. I delivered Jeremy at just over 40 years old. Not that I have much of a basis of comparison (I had Abby at 38), but having kids over 40 is MUCH different than having kids 5-10-15-20 years younger. Pregnancies and deliveries are physically traumatic - I don't care what ANYONE says.
As for the timing of their sexual activity, I wouldn't be surprised if they have scheduled "private time" and you just don't hear about it on TV because it is personal.
Live and let live, the kids seem well adjusted and happy which is more than I can say for half the kids I know who grew up as only children.

I am not sure this is true either. There was an announcement on their last episode that someone was expecting. It ended up being the wife of one of the crew members..

JMO but I think that if this is true, it is selfish, reckless and irresponsible after the risky pregnancy and premature birth of Josie. I can only imagine another pregnancy endangering her life and the only people who will suffer are her poor children. Enough is enough!

I completely used to be of the same mindset. I would always say they seemed like a happy family, and the kids all seemed content, well-fed, and well taken care of. But then when she had Josie 3 months premature... I just don't know why she would risk putting another tiny baby through what Josie went through. At this point it seems 100% selfish.

This isn't really true, I developed Pre-E at the end of my PG and was told by my Dr that there isn't sufficient data to determine if it will happen in subsequent pregnancies. She said most Dr's put the risk at 20%, but that the "experts" all range from 5-75%.
There are also many factors, like when you developed it, how severe it was and if your BP went back to normal after delivery.
It does seem like Michele Duggar's PreE was pretty severe, but your statement is not entirely true and could really frighten woman unnecessarily who have had PreE in a previous pregnancy.
