Dumb Question About Cold Cuts
Ok, so my dr said no cold cuts, well he actually said no Deili meats unless I cook them (I miss them but will listen to what he said, i am fine with it) BUT...... Here's my question......
What about if you get your cheese sliced at a deli also. Like American, White American, Munchie, Swiss....You get the point.... Are those on the No No list as well or is it JUST meats???
This confuses me...

Re: Dumb Question About Cold Cuts
I have been eating it. They use a different slicer for cheese. As far as coldcuts go, really it is everything in moderation. If you have a turkey sandwich once a month, you will be okay. Just make sure it is from a clean and reputable place.

Well, see that's not what I am talking about. I buy Kraft, Velveeta prepackaged-preslicedcheese all of the time and most of the time I use that to make grilled cheese, so I am not worried about that. I am talking about the cheese you get sliced at a deli. Should I avoid that also?

Re: Dumb Question About Cold Cuts
Cheese from a deli is fine. All cheese is cut on a seperate machine. You can have cold cold cuts. MODERATION is key.
I eat Boars Head Turkey DAILY. If the place you get them from has a high turn around with meats its fine. Stay alway from Quiznos and Subway places that dont use reputable meat.

Re: Dumb Question About Cold Cuts
jsut the meats....
the danger is in the bacteria that is in the meat, not the cheese. and delis have to use separate sliccers for the cheese, so it's fine.
