Dumb Question re: Glucose test at Quest
I just made the appt for my glucose tolerance test at Quest.
I did it online and chose an 8:15 am timeslot.
I indicated that I would be doing a glucose tolerance test.
After I chose that time, a confirmation window came up and said- confirmed for 8:15 am on March 19th. 15 minutes.

Now I'm thinking-does that mean they will be drawing my blood at 8:15 so I have to be there at 7:15?
I would imagine my 8:15 appt means I get there at 8:15, drink the drink, then get blood drawn at 9:15.
But how does that work from an appt scheduling standpoint then?
They didn't indicate the duration as an hour - only 15 minutes.
Did I schedule this correctly?

Your appt is @8:15 so the blood will be drawn 1 hour after you drink your drink, 9:15 or so.
I went there as well, it was fine! Just make sure you remind them of the time b/c if I didn't I think they definitely would have forgotten about me, lol.
Making an appt is always the way to go at quest, it can be brutal in the waiting room

Yea I would say you get there at 8:15, drink your drink, and then have your blood drawn at 9:15. As the PP said remind them at 9:15 that you need your blood drawn b/c they might forget about you.

I thought that was the case- but got confused when I saw I had a 15 minute appt at 8:15 am.
I was like ummm- well what about the hour wait?

They test your fasting levels as well as your levels after the glucose drink.

That is what I am doing showing up at 8:50am the earlier appt were already booked. Remind me to tell you how it goes wed, preggo brain  I don't want to forget. I am going to bring a straw and a cup w/ ice in case they don't have.
