Dumb question re: hospital supplies
Does the hospital supply the diapers for your baby during your stay or should you pack a bunch to bring with you? TIA!

they supply and you should bring an empty bag to take whatever you need from them. once they put a full package of diapers in your bassinet - they legally cannot put them into another bassinet...so they are yours.

They will give them to you. They are usually size 1 so if you have a small baby you may want to use NB but the size 1's are fine.

Just be careful - most hospitals only put 6-8 diapers in at a time and if your asking for more bc you took them within a few hours - most hospitals will tell you that you should have enough to last and use what you packed away. You don't want to be the mom that gets 'talked about'  . But as long as you get a great RN taking care of you - they will usually pack a large bag of diapers, wipes, vaseline and hide them in ur closet for you (atleast I do that with my patients I like on the Maternity floor).

I think a good game plan is take 2 diapers to steal at a time-I bet I can come up with a ton of reasons why I am 2 diapers short-umm...double diapered

There are many things you can do to keep those diapers in your bag . You can slyly say when you were changing the baby he/she peed on the new one and you went thru 2 or 3 in one change (babies are notorious for peeing when their diapers are open - that cold air does wonders). Also, just be extra nice to the nurses or aides and you can even ask on the last day if they didn't stock you . GL. And BTW not at NS manhasset

BTW - I seriously don't get why anyone would be rude/mean/whatever to someone who is taking care of you... It doesn't make sense!!
