dumb/silly question from a preggo gal..
Oh wise mothers..
Anyone have it where they got it wrong at the Level II and said girl when it was a boy?
I ask because: I still feel its a boy even though they said girl EVERYONE (even strangers) tell me I'm having a boy
I know I know.. either way I'm happy but jeez, I've painted the room with some pink already! LOL
Should I have waited for my next sono?
I'm 28weeks
TIA

They were right for me, but I made them confirm at every sono and the 3D elective sono just to be sure.

Re: dumb/silly question from a preggo gal..
My level 2's were always right however with my last one I think I was about 12-14wks and I didn't even ask, the sono tech asked me if I wanted to know and I was shocked she was able to tell me because I've never heard of finding out so early. Well she said girl but for some reason I thought boy and I was right. Luckily I didn't buy anything until I had my level 2.

They were right for me () and for a while I was nervous. I made them confirm every time.

i went thru this too! i was totally freaked that they got it wrong so at each sono i always asked. they were right though she was a girl! i think it was Ang-Rich ( a poster on here) that was told she was having a girl only to find out later the baby was a boy! and now she has her adorable Lucas!
p.s. i could be wrong but i think it was her! i apologize if i am mistaken!

Yup - that was me. But I know when I tell the story I confuse people so let me explain...
My level II was at LIJ and they could not and would not confirm the sex since the baby wasn't cooperating. Not too long after that I went for the 3D sono at Impact and THEY told me girl.
Weeks later I went back to LIJ for a growth sono and something told me to ask - sure enough it was a boy.
ETA: My entire pregnancy everyone told me girl by looking at me except for my DH, MIL, FIL and a few aunts...they were adamant that it was a boy...they were right.

Re: dumb/silly question from a preggo gal..
Not to me persoanally - they told me boy at 12 weeks - but - a good friend of the family - they told her she was having a girl (she already has three boys) and sure enough - it was another boy. I believe that she also had a ton of sonograms....all that said girl.
This is one of my fears w/ the next baby if they do say it's a girl. And, Ang just told you her story! Those are the only two I can think of I think.

thanks so I won't feel stupid asking for confirmation at my next sono.. whenever that is.
I just feel so stupid I don't want anyone thinking I don't her if she's a daughter I just wanna be sure that's all.

Ask every time you go. So many people do - don't feel bad about it.
Once the doctors realized what I had been through they checked every time for me without my asking - although I was always ready to ask.

True - I made sure they could see his goods everytime I got a sono!

Re: dumb/silly question from a preggo gal..
They were right with me, but I did ask them to double check at every sonogram. I told the tech "the furniture is VERY girly, I need to know that you're 10000% confident it's a girl!" After reading Ang-Rich's story I wasn't taking any chances!!

Re: dumb/silly question from a preggo gal..
No I think mistakes really rarely happen. Honestly I felt like I was having a boy, everyone and I mean EVERYONE told me I was carrying a boy - even argued with me when I said I was told girl. I knew 100% it was a girl though b.c I had an amnio - so no surprise.
