Dyslexia
Any mommies with experience with this? Mikayla is showing a lot of the signs and i am looking into getting her tested at the school. Thanks

Not as a parent, but as a special ed. Teacher who has taught many dyslexic.kids in their regular classroom and as a reading specialist in a program specifically for dyslexics.
The SD cannot diagnose dyslexia, but testing they do would show deficits in decoding, encoding (spelling) and reading comprehension. I would look into taking her to a neurologist and/or an opthomologist as well.

Also an audiologist to rule out an auditory processing disorder...
We started with a neuro and they directed us from there...

thanks, I am taking her to an ophthalmologist on 5/26 to test her for a visual processing disorder. we will go from there - thanks :)
