Ear piercing at 3 years old?
DD is 3 yo - she is very interested in earrings, but does not have her ears pierced. Has anyone gotten their DD's ears pierced at this age?

We did Victoria's at 3. She was constantly asking for them and obsessed with mine. I bought her magnet ones that she wore while supervised but that wasn't good enough.
We did them about two months ago and she still shows everyone her princess earrings

DD's BFF got her ears pierced a few months ago and now DD wants hers done...I guess I expected her not to ask until she was older.
Her doctor can do them - do you think that is better than having them done at a jewelry store?

From what I have heard, it is actually better to do them at a jewelry store. While the doctors offer the service, they don't necessarily do it very often (whereas somewhere like Claire's they do it all the time). I think the Dr's are a lot more expensive too.
DD just turned 4 and we are planning on doing hers soon.

My SD was older than 3 when she had hers done, but just wanted to offer some advice...
Try to go to a place that has 2 piercing persons (don't know what you'd call them )...My SD got one ear done at a time and after the 1st , refused to have the 2nd one done for another 4 years 
Some places pierce both ears at once...Much easier that way

My rule about ear piercing has always been when they are old enough to ask for it, they can have it.
DD#1 asked at 4 and we did it that day. They did both ears at the same time and I did not have gulit because I knew she wanted it. She cried but it was over pretty quickly. We did it at the mall and went directly to the toy store.
