Early AM wakings... anyone now how to change that?
So ds used to go to bed around 6:30-7pm. He'd wake up around 6-6:30am.
However lately he's been waking up around 5:30am for about 2 weeks now. When he doesn't nap well, we usually put him to bed at 6pm.
But lately it doesn't matter if we put him to bed at 6pm or 7pm... he still wakes at 5:30am, sometimes earlier!
Anyone know how to change this????

When you find out let me know..
I have two VERY early risers.
They have always been this way, and will sometimes wake up late, but for the most part are awake at 6:00 or 6:30, but sometimes earlier.
I have tried keeping them awake longer, stimulating the heck out them, run them around to poop them out... NOTHING has worked.

Does he scream? DS wakes up around then and whines for a while but I won't allow him out before 6:45 am . He doesn't scream and cry, just little cries and usually falls back asleep.

Re: Early AM wakings... anyone now how to change that?
I wish I had an answer. Ryan goes to sleep around 8 and typically sleeps until 7. This morning he got up at 6, I went in and nursed him. Then put him back in his crib and he went back to sleep until 8:30.
I want to start putting him to bed earlier but I am afraid he will wake up earlier. So I just stick with this schedule.

Oh i refuse to get him before 6am at the earliest. Unless it's a full blown cry. Then i go get him. Otherwise i leave him. But it's still frustrating because then i'm still up!

Re: Early AM wakings... anyone now how to change that?
I used to think that my dd woke up late only on days when I worked. Then I came to realize that she woke up early everyday and on the days I work, I would be in the shower so she would go back to sleep before I got out. ( I take long showers.) Now she sleeps till 8:30 everyday, except when I wake her to go to work. My ds was the same way...a late sleeper. Probably for the same reason.
