Early Thursday QOTD
I almost forgot to post one! 
I'll make this one on the simple side.... Who has strolled through baby stores to check out stuff for the future   ?
Admittedly, DH and I walked around Buy Buy Baby and looked at all the random stuff, fantasizing about what we would buy, etc...... some cute toys, clothes  And, before you think this is totally bizarre (if anyone is thinking that  ) I will add that we have only done this ONCE!!! To be honest the sole purpose for this was we wanted to get a good idea of the size of baby furniture when we were house hunting to get a realistic view of how big the baby's room should be.
Umm... at least that's what I told DH so he would agree to go in!!! 
Anyone else?

I spend wayyyyyy too much time researching baby items online and sharing my finding with DH. And when we were in Target the other day I asked him to stoll through the baby aisles with me. He agreed but made a scene when we were at the displays of the breast pumps. He actually grabbed one and said "I like this one it reminds me of how they milk cows, I can just hook you up to it." I won't be asking him to join me on these strolls anymore!

I don't stroll through stores but I do browse online way more than I should. I even have a folder of bookmarked things that I like. I don't get DH involved in that stuff yet because I don't want him to think I've gone off the deep end with baby on the brain

I'm already a mom, so I'll discuss the past...NO, I never did that. Honestly, it probably didn't even occur to me. I didn't even look at anything online before I was pregnant. It wasn't a superstition thing for me...IDK, I just never thought of it. Plus, my DH would NEVER in a million years have oohed and aahed over baby stuff...he didn't even register with me when the time came!
Now, when I was actually pregnant, I think I went off the deep end researching every little thing to DEATH!

I've browsed online, mostly Pottery Barn Kids for decor ideas. But oddly enough when I go to BBB or similar to buy gifts for friends kids, I won't let myself look for me. I try to get in and get out asap.

Well, we have five cousins under the age of 4, and herds of colleagues that are having babies... so I've spent a lot of time in those sections of stores, lol. Yes, we've looked for our future kids, but it's not something I do often.

My grandma said that to me too!
I havent looked at baby stores, but I will admit that I have looked at maternity clothes online- ann taylor loft has some really cute things for preggos!

we didnt do this at all. Not even when I was pregnant for over 2 months.
BUT during Christmas time...... while shopping, I did wander off into the baby clothes section for a few minutes.

For some reason i always feel like i dont belong in BRU - even when im shopping for a shower gift. Its like people are gonna look at me and know im not preggo or a mom and kick me out

Every time we are in Target, we pass through the baby section looking at the furniture, bouncy seats, strollers and pack and plays. We went to Babies R Us once and almost bought a stroller because they were closing their location and it was on major sale. Also, I search online for baby furniture when I'm bored because we'll need a combo crib and changer because we live in a 1 bedroom apt. We really should stop though because it's depressing.

I definitely stroll the baby aisle in target once in a while. As for online I am ALWAYS looking at items and making wish lists.

I'm totally superstitious so I would never think to do that ... I don't even think I'd buy anything before the  arrives!
Good thinking about the baby furniture to get your DH to go with you though. Sneaky!

So I had the "Baby Box". It was filled with books, toys, cute gender neutral outfits, etc. etc. which sounds fairly "normal" and all except.................I started the "Baby Box" at about age 22 and I had my first DC at 33. So to answer your question not only did I stroll around and look at stuff.........I bought it too!!! It's cute though to see my DD in a little outfit that I picked out 10 years before she was even a thought.
